I am of value

In the handless maiden the farmer does a deal with the devil to sell his daughter in return for material wealth. Robert Johnson (Jungian Analyst) states in his book the Handless Maiden & the Fisher King that this metaphor is indicative of the youthful maiden innocence of our spirituality & femininity as a culture that has been sacrificed.
The lesson of the Handless Maiden is to learn her value as a woman.
